Rafael Renzetti Betiolo

Born in the western region of the State of Sao Paulo, Rafael Renzetti was raised and now lives in Sao Jose dos Campos, also in the State of Sao Paulo.

Rafael, 29 years old, is a Mechanical Engineer with a large aeronautics company and is the founder, principal contributor, and editor of Rafael’s father and grandfather taught Rafael the art and science of fishing on the River Tiete in Sao Paulo. At 6 years old, Rafael’s grandfather taught him to fish Tucunare (Peacock Bass) with artificial lures. At 10 years old, Rafael won his first fishing tournament, taking home the overall championship.

Rafael describes that fishing “empties his mind of distracting elements of our day-to-day life and recharges his positive energy” and that he “gets lost in the pleasure of fishing.” Today, Rafael enjoys baitcasting for Peacock Bass and Corvina on the northern coast of the State of Sao Paulo and the lakes of the Valley of Paraiba.
